Jeffrey Hartman im 2022 sang am Theater Regensburg mit grossem Erfolg den Calaf in TURANDOT., Das Opera Magazine schrieb „Jeffrey Hartman als Calaf besitzt einen durchaus heldischen Tenor, der gleichwohl immer geschmeidig bleibt, und überzeugt auch als Schauspieler“ (Klaus Kalchschmid).  Ebenso im Jahr 2022 sprang Mr. Hartman als Probencover für Calaf in TURANDOT an der Hamburgischen Staatsoper für Gregory Kunde ein. Sein Debüt in Österreich, sowie sein Rollendebüt gab er als Jean de Leyde in Meyerbeer’s LE PROPHÈTE am Landestheater Linz. Die Medien berichteten „die Stimme des amerikanischen Tenors ist wie teurer Samt“.

Vor seinem Engagement in Linz kehrte er zurück nach Hongkong für die Rolle des Pinkerton in Musica Viva Hong Kong‘s Produktion von MADAMA BUTTERFLY, und debütierte in Polen als Don José in CARMEN an der Oper Wroclawska. Ebenfalls im selben Jahr debütierte er in der Titelrolle in Les Contes d‘Hoffmann mit der Passaggio Opera Berlin. Im September 2016 hatte Mr. Hartman sein europäisches Debüt an der Oper in Chemnitz als Calaf in Turandot, wo man Mr. Hartman wie folgt beschrieb: “Der amerikanische Tenor war makellos mit seinem weichem, warmen Timbre“ - Die Chemnitzer Morgenpost. Er kehrte 2017, 2018 sowie 2019 für die Wiederaufnahme dieser Produktion nach Chemnitz zurück.

Im Jahr 2017 debütierte er ebenso in der Rolle des De Grieux in MANON LESCAUT am Theater Osnabrück, sowie im Vereinigten Königreich an der Northern Ireland Opera und dem Ulster Symphony Orchestra in Ulster Hall in Belfast als Rodolfo in LA BOHÈME. 2015 trat er dem Ensemble der Lyric Opera in Chicago bei, wo er als Cover für Cavaradossi in Tosca engagiert war. Danach debütierte er als Bacchus in ARIADNE AUF NAXOS an der Oper in Seattle. Eine Rolle, die er danach auch an der Palm Beach Opera sang. Weiters war er mit der Seattle Youth Symphony als Solist in Mahler’s „ DAS LIED VON DER ERDE“ zu hören. 

Zu seinem Repertoire zählen ebenso: Edgardo in LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR, die Titelrolle in FAUST, Malcolm in MACBETH, Ismaele in NABUCCO, Alfredo in LA TRAVIATA, Danielle in LA TRISTEZZA, Nardo and Lampionaio in RACCONTO FIORENTINO, and Edwin in THE GYPSY PRINCESS, zu deutsch DIE CSÁRDÁSFÜRSTIN.

Zu den Konzert Highlights von Mr. Hartman zählen Konzerte mit der Church on the Hill in Boston, der Boston Lyric Opera und dem Dicapo Opera Theater. Er sang als Solist in ELIAS, DIE SCHÖPFUNG sowie CARMINA BURANA mit Masterworks Chorale of NY und war einer der gefeierten Künstler des Italienischen Festivals mit Italia Unita. Er war der Tenor Solist in folgenden Stücken: BEETHOVEN‘S 9. SYMPHONIE mit der Brown University, dem Rhode Island Symphony Orchestra, sowie der South Florida Symphony, sowie MAHLER’s DAS LIED VON DER ERDE mit der Seattle Youth Symphony und dem New York City Chamber Orchestra. THE SEVEN LAST WORDS OF CHRIST mit dem Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, Britten’s LES ILLUMINATIONS mit dem Midcoast Symphony Orchestra, Mozart’s GROSSE MESSE IN C MOLL mit dem Waterbury Chorale und Steiner’s CRUCIFICATION mit dem Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra. Er war Solist bei vielen anderen Konzerten mit Chor sowie vielen weiteren Organisationen.

Mr. Hartman ist Preisträger der Wagner Society of New York 2011. Er gewann den zweiten Platz in der Peter Elwin Competition, den ersten Preis in der Dicapo Opera Competition, den ersten Preis der National Association of Teachers of Singing Advance Graduation Division, den Ralph Appleman Award. Er war ebenso Mitglied im Young artist program der Indianapolis Opera, sowie Sarasota Opera (Florida) und des Dicapo Opera Theaters (New York). 

Mr. Hartman besuchte die Anderson University im Anderson Indiana wo er bei New York City Opera Soprano, Greta Grey Domenic studierte, und die Ball State University, wo er bei John T. Hines einem Schüler von Jerome Hines, studierte.

Jeffrey Hartmin 2022 sang with Theater Regensburg the role of Calaf in Turandot with great success. Opera Magazine hails him, "Jeffrey Hartman as Calaf, has a thoroughly heroic tenor voice that always remains supple, and he is also a convicing actor." In the 2019-2020 season Mr. Hartman made his Austrian Debut and Role Debut as Jean de Leyde in LE PROPHÈTE at Landestheater Linz and harold as “The American tenor’s voice is like expensive velvet” (2019/2020). 

Prior to his engagement in Linz he returned to Hong Kong to sing Pinkerton in Musica Viva Hong Kong’s production of MADAMA BUTTERFLY, made his debut in Poland as Don José in CARMEN with Opera Wrocławska and debuted the title role in Les Contes d’Hoffmann with Passagio Opera Berlin earlier that year.

In September 2016, Mr. Hartman made his European debut at Die Theater Chemnitz as Calaf in TURANDOT, where they describe Mr. Hartman, "...the American tenor was immaculate with his soft warm timbre..." The Chemnitzer Morgenpost - Victoria Winkel and returned in 2017, 2018 and 2019 for the reprisal of TURANDOT. In 2017 he also debuted the role of Des Grieux in MANON LESCAUT with Theater Osnabrück and made also made his UK debut with Northern Ireland Opera and the Ulster Symphony Orchestra in Ulster Hall in Belfast Ireland as Rudolfo in LA BOHÉME.

In 2015 he joined the roster of Lyric Opera of Chicago, where he covered the role of Cavaradossi in TOSCA. Following his time with Lyric Opera of Chicago, he made his house and role debut as Bacchus in ARIADNE AUF NAXOS with Seattle Opera and reprised the role with Palm Beach Opera. He also sang with the Seattle Youth Symphony as the tenor soloist in Mahler's DAS LIED VON DER ERDE.

He was the tenor soloist in ELIJAH, THE CREATION, CARMINA BURRANA with the Masterworks Chorale of NY and was a featured artist for the Italian Festival with Italia Unita. He performed as tenor soloist in BEETHOVEN'S 9TH SYMPHONY with Brown University, Rhode Island Symphony Orchestra and the South Florida Symphony, Mahler’s DAS LIED VON DER ERDE with the Seattle Youth Symphony and the NYC Chamber Orchestra, THE SEVEN LAST WORDS OF CHRIST with the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, Britten’s LES ILLUMINATIONS with the Midcoast Symphony Orchestra, Mozart’s GREAT MASS IN C MINOR with the Waterbury Chorale and Steiner’s CRUXIFICATION with the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra. He was a featured soloist in many concerts with Choral and other organizations.
 

Mr. Hartman’s many awards and honors include the 2011 winner of the Wagner Society of New York; second place in the Peter Elvin’s Competition, First place in the Dicapo Opera Theatre Competition, first place in the National Association of Teachers of Singing Advance Graduate Division, and the Ralph Appleman Award. He previously participated in the young artist program of Indianapolis Opera (Indiana), Sarasota Opera (Florida) and Dicapo Opera Theater (New York).
